Le 1^er janvier 1982 naissait la Maison d’édition Verbum Bible avec le projet d’édition de la Bible en lingala, une de grandes langues les plus parlées en RD Congo, surtout dans sa capitale Kinshasa et le nord-ouest du pays. Le 1^er janvier de cette année 2022, elle a totalisé ses 40 ans d’existence et de service, comptant à son actif plusieurs Bibles éditées en français, en anglais et en plusieurs langues locales africaines et surtout congolaises.
